It’s always been Joanne’s goal to practice Aboriginal Law and work with First Nation communities. She considers herself blessed to be able to devote her practice to this area, work in a collegial environment and maintain a life style that includes time for family and friends.

Joanne has developed her practice to include First Nations governance, Aboriginal and Treaty rights, specific claims, sectoral self-government agreements, child protection and employment matters. She maintains her practice at the Calgary office but often attends the Standoff and Lethbridge offices to meet with clients and attend at Lethbridge Provincial Court.

Joanne was raised on a farm and currently lives with her husband Allan on an acreage southwest of Calgary where she enjoys horseback riding in the mountains on weekends. She believes strongly in giving back to the community and has volunteered for numerous charitable and non-profit organizations.
