Logan Kachur moved from Saskatoon to Calgary to join Walsh as a family law practitioner in 2017. As an avid sports fan and semi-washed up athlete, he was happy to find a firm that fostered a culture of team work among lawyers and that took pride in its clients’ success. At Walsh, Logan focuses primarily on family law and civil litigation. He has appeared at all levels of Court in both Saskatchewan and Alberta, including multiple successful appearances before both Courts of Appeal.

Logan’s goal is to explain the intricacies of family law and complex financial matters in a practical and relatable way, while resolving family disputes in a manner that eliminates emotionally-based decisions. His practice is centered on devising the most logical plan of action for each client.

While pursuing his undergraduate degree in Political Science at Missouri Southern State University, he was an intern for President Obama's 2008 Presidential campaign and a mediocre outfielder on the baseball team. He once hit a home run in summer ball off of MLB All-Star pitcher John Axford, before finishing the season with a truly atrocious batting average. Logan is proud to have followed his Father Randy (Class of ’78) and Sister Courtney (’08) to the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Law and still wears Roughrider green as much as possible. Logan also studied abroad at the renowned business law program at the University of Stockholm in Sweden.

In his spare time Logan volunteered with the Special Olympics and Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon. He also plays for the Alberta Champion Calgary Giants baseball club and enjoys cooking, travel, and playing catch with his nephews Bearcub, Mango, and YoYo.
