Paul is a dedicated advocate who approaches each matter with a client-focused perspective. He invests time to understand his clients’ personalities, goals, and priorities, ensuring his advice is both practical and tailored to their needs and objectives.

Paul’s practice is primarily focused on litigation. He has successfully represented clients at all levels of court in Alberta, as well as before the Federal Court and theFederal Court of Appeal. He has also assisted in matters before the Supreme Court of Canada and has appeared before a range of administrative and regulatory tribunals in Alberta.

In addition to his litigation practice, Paul advises First Nations and corporate clients on a variety of internal legal and governance-related matters. He understands how to balance the need to mitigate liability in the pursuit of advancing client objectives, without compromising unnecessarily in the name of risk avoidance.

Outside of his practice, Paul maintains an ongoing (and humbling) relationship with golf, a sport he has pursued since childhood with limited improvement. Inrecent years, he has gravitated away from hockey, football, and basketball towardlower-impact activities such as pickleball, swimming, and cycling. He is also anavid fan of film and music and regularly enjoys Alberta’s vibrant arts scene.
