Jillian is an Articling Student in the First Nations Law and Civil and Commercial Litigation groups at Walsh LLP.

Prior to joining Walsh, Jillian completed articles of clerkship at the Alberta Court of Justice under
the mentorship of the Honourable Justice A.P. Argento. At the Court of Justice, she assisted with a
variety of civil, criminal and family matters.

Jillian comes to Walsh with a diversity of work experiences. Prior to attending law school, she
worked at the United Nations Global Compact in New York City, both as an intern and freelance
writer. She has experience in marketing and communications. Jillian also worked in the tech
industry in Montreal and Calgary. She hopes to draw on her diverse background to provide a well-
rounded and practical perspective to her clients’ legal challenges.

In law school, Jillian participated in the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot Competition and the Western
Canada Family Law Negotiation Competition. In her final year, she completed a semester abroad
at the City University of Hong Kong.

During her spare time, Jillian enjoys spending time in the Rockies, whether its backcountry skiing
or backpacking. She is steadily improving her golf game (although her enthusiasm outpaces her
skill level) and has recently taken up tennis. Jillian also loves to travel (38 countries and counting).
