She graduated from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law where she was awarded
the Persons Case Scholarship for the advancement of gender equality. After law school,
she clerked for the Hon. Ann Marie McDonald at the Federal Court of Canada in Ottawa
and completed her articles at a national law firm in Calgary.

Prior to joining Walsh, Kiran practiced energy regulation at Indian Oil and Gas Canada
and Indigenous child and family law development at a boutique firm. She also worked
internationally with the Canadian Bar Association in Cape Town, South Africa in
constitutional and human rights law.

Outside of work, Kiran is a board member with Calgary Youth Justice and an apprentice
with the Writers’ Guild of Alberta. She is also a registered yoga instructor and enjoys
teaching charity classes. When she’s not on the mat or at a silent meditation retreat,
you can find her contemplating life behind a sewing machine.
