Usama (Sam) is an Associate at Walsh LLP who practices in the area of Business and Corporate Law.

Usama is building a broad corporate law practice and is dedicated to delivering pragmatic and effective legal solutions to meet the needs of his clients.

Usama obtained a Canadian and American Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, equipping him with a distinct perspective on cross-border law. While completing law school, Usama founded the Human Rights Law Association of Windsor, was a Student Attorney at the University of Detroit Mercy’s Trademark & Entrepreneur Clinic, and was distinguished for his oral advocacy in the G. Mennen Williams Moot Court Competition.

Prior to joining Walsh LLP, Usama completed his Articles at a large national firm in Calgary and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2023. His previous experiences have afforded him valuable exposure to complex transactions and intricate agreements, while his proficiency in English, Kashmiri, Urdu, and Hindi enables him to effectively engage with a diverse clientele.

In his spare time, Usama enjoys working out, hiking, photography, and R&B music.
